Beef Production

In an effort to select the greatest breed of beef for our consumers, Siphamba has over the years made an effort to breed with a variety of cattle breeds. The beef herd on the farms still represents this tradition, despite the fact that the Beefmaster has grown to dominate the herd as the breed for catering to our customers’ needs.

Grass-fed Nguni

Through its Nguni herd, Siphamba produces grass-fed beef. This is done to meet the rising demand from customers who want beef that hasn’t gone through feedlots. This demonstrates Siphamba’s expertise of how to address the needs of the wide range of customers.

Mutton Production

At Siphamba, we take great pride in the premium mutton that our Dormer sheep produce. Because Dormer is renowned for its high slaughter rate and ear maturation, we chose it. Additionally, it is well known for having a remarkable average daily gain (ADG), which makes it a superior breed for our feedlot operations.

Siphamba Feedlots

Siphamba runs its feedlots as a value-added component of its mutton and beef production. Having launched the feedlots in 2020, we have learned the importance of our business in ensuring the livelihoods of the new farmers we purchase some feedlot stock from as we have grown the enterprise.
